At Columbus City Schools, we are dedicated to developing scientifically literate citizens ready for the 21st century. Science at Every Grade Matters

Review the documents to explore the journey of students learning major topics of study at each grade level, such as ecosystems, heredity, sound and waves, and energy conservation. You will notice that concepts introduced in kindergarten reappear throughout science education, culminating in advanced courses like AP Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, and AP Physics. Therefore, the standards taught at each grade level have a significant impact on student learning later in their academic careers.
