Dr. Johnson's Weekly Update
Hello Vikings,
This is Principal Johnson with your weekly update.
The first nine days of school have been full of excitement and learning. From engaging lessons in the classroom to hard-fought battles on the fields and courts, our Vikings are showing what it takes to be Next Level Leaders. Let’s continue building on this momentum as we enter week three of the new school year!
Open House
Join us Wednesday, September 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for our Open House. During our Open House, you will have a chance to meet members of our staff, tour the campus, and learn how to best partner with us to support your student. A special workshop will be held for parents/guardians of seniors at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
Chromebooks
Devices are continuing to be distributed to students as we assign them. Parents and guardians, please have your student turn in any devices that were not collected at the end of last school year.
Closed Lunch Policy
Northland has a closed lunch policy. That means that students are not allowed to leave school or have food delivered to the school during the school day. If students violate this policy, they are subject to discipline. Your support is appreciated.
Contact Information
Don’t hesitate to contact our main office at 614-365-5342 if you have any questions or concerns. You may also email me directly at JJohnson5103@columbus.k12.oh.us.

CCS is a No Phone Zone District
Research shows that when students disconnect from their cell phones during the school day, they become more attentive, perform better academically, and develop stronger connections with their teachers and peers. Our goal is not to penalize, but to create learning environments where every student is fully engaged and distraction-free.
