DRESS CODE GUIDELINES
During the 24/25 school year, Sherwood Middle School will be adopting the Columbus City Schools guidelines for appropriate dress.
Please ensure that your child adheres to the following upon arrival at school:
- No offensive language, logos (including profanity, drug references)
- No spaghetti straps, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, and/or any other strapless top or dress
- No bare midriff (crop tops)
- No excessive skin from large holes/rips in pants
- No outside coats/jackets worn throughout the building
- Dresses, skirts and shorts must be mid-thigh (meet the ends of his/her/their fingertips when extended)
- No open-toed shoes including slides, slippers, flip flops, etc.
- No sheer, see-through clothing
- No sleepwear
- No hats, bonnets, or any other type of head covering (other than for religious/cultural purposes)
- No sunglasses

Federal Funds to Help Pay Rent
Ohio renters who have had difficulty paying rent as a result of COVID may be eligible for help to pay rent and utility bills. Please click on our Families page above to find more details. The link to the Ohio Development Services Agency is embedded on the lower right of this page.
