Spring Testing Information
Hello Sherwood MS Community.
Thank you to all the family members that spent some time with us today, March 7th, during our "Lunch With a Loved One" event. It was great to see everyone and I know your kiddos enjoyed not eating school lunch for once. For those who weren't able to join us, here is some info I provided that you missed:
The Spring Ohio State Test begins the week of March 14th for all grade levels.
-The first test is reading. This is for all students and we'll be testing part one on Tue March 15th and part two on Wed March 16th.
-8th grade students only will then take the science test on Fri April 8th for part one and Mon April 11th for part two.
-All students will begin the math test on Tue April 12th for part one and Wed April 13th for part two.
-The rest of March will be for make-up tests for reading. After Spring break and the first week in May will be make-ups for science and math.
-All Sherwood students will take the Spring assessment UNLESS they are taking the alternative assessment instead. Those students have already been identified.
Parents, please make sure your student does the following every day to prepare for the test:
-Charges their chromebook the night before every single day. This MUST be a district provided chromebook - not a personal one for test purposes.
-Gets a good night's rest.
-Eats a good breakfast, whether at home or at school each day.
-Not only comes to school, but arrives on time (before 7:30 am).
Families may click here to see our testing calendar for March, April, and May. All the make-up dates are included as well. If a student doesn't test on the day we originally have scheduled, they will test on a make-up day. HOWEVER, if a student begins the test, it MUST be completed the same day.
If families have questions about the state assessment, please feel free to call an administrator through the main office at 614-365-5393. Thank you!SHEILA A. EVANS, Ed.S.PRINCIPAL
