DRESS CODE GUIDELINES
During the 24/25 school year, Sherwood Middle School will be adopting the Columbus City Schools guidelines for appropriate dress.
Please ensure that your child adheres to the following upon arrival at school:
- No offensive language, logos (including profanity, drug references)
- No spaghetti straps, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, and/or any other strapless top or dress
- No bare midriff (crop tops)
- No excessive skin from large holes/rips in pants
- No outside coats/jackets worn throughout the building
- Dresses, skirts and shorts must be mid-thigh (meet the ends of his/her/their fingertips when extended)
- No open-toed shoes including slides, slippers, flip flops, etc.
- No sheer, see-through clothing
- No sleepwear
- No hats, bonnets, or any other type of head covering (other than for religious/cultural purposes)
- No sunglasses
