Professional Development Opportunities

  • Part Two: Information Literacy: Supporting the Transition to College by Addressing Common Misconceptions presented by OSU Libraries.
In this workshop, participants will learn about research findings related to middle and high school students’ information literacy, and will explore the challenges that many students face in transitioning to college level research. Participants will consider common misconceptions that first-year college students demonstrate related to research and information use, and will develop an action plan for addressing at least one of these through instruction or programming at their own school, or collaboration with other district librarians.  Even if you missed the first session, you can attend the second session.
