Columbus City Schools is changing the way it Fuels Up students when it comes to providing free breakfast and lunch as students prepare to start the 2020-2021 school year fully remote.
Beginning Wednesday, September 9, the District's Food Services Department will expand its grab and go meal site locations to 44 sites across the District. Along with the site expansion, Food Services will launch a weekly meal pack pick-up cycle that will include five days of grab and go meals while students are in remote learning environment.
A Fuel Up Grab and Go meal site will be assigned to each student by the nearest location to the student's home address.
These meal pick ups will take place every Wednesday at two times:
- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Any child age 18 and under can pick up a five-day meal pack during one of these times at their meal site every Wednesday.
School Menu Restrictions Currently in Place:
· Nut products, seafood, and pork are not served.Columbus City Schools follow the MyPlate dietary guidelines for student meal planning.Eat a fruit or vegetable at every meal.
