Technology Integration Frameworks

  • The eLearning Collaborative recommends purposeful technology integration for student-centered classrooms using the following standards, frameworks, and strategies. 

Blended Learning

  • Blended learning involves a mix of technology and face-to-face instruction. Blended learning combines classroom learning with online learning, in which students can, in part, control the time, pace, and place of their learning.

SAMR Model

  • The SAMR model is a way for teachers to evaluate how they are incorporating technology into their instructional practice--as Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, or Redefinition.
     

TPACK Framework

  • Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) identifies the nature of knowledge required by teachers for classroom technology integration. TPACK involves the interaction of three forms of knowledge: Content (CK), Pedagogy (PK), and Technology (TK).
