Welcome Future First Friday Visiting Artists
We are so excited you are thinking of joining us for our First Friday Visiting Artists Program! You can find more information below. Please sign up using our Google Form Sign Up Sheet HERE. Thank you for taking the time to invest in the lives of our artists here at Arts Impact Middle School.
Time: Please arrive at Arts Impact Middle School at 12:50 p.m. so that we can get you set-up and ready to be with students from 1:00 - 2:15.
Address: 680 Jack Gibbs Blvd. Columbus, OH 43215. We are on the Fort Hayes campus across from the old Kroger bakery on Cleveland Avenue. We're right off 670 and near Columbus State.
Parking: People often confuse the front and back of our building. The front of our building is facing the Fort Hayes campus and has a flagpole. Please park down in the large, main parking lot in the front of the school. If you have supplies you need to bring in, you can pull up top to the doors to make it easier to unload. We will have people here to help you with that.
Contact Information: Our school's phone number is 614-365-5558.
Students: There will be around 30 students in the classroom you are assigned. There will be a student from our Principal's Cabinet to greet you and take you to the classroom. The teacher will be staying in the room with you to help. We have also assigned one of our arts teachers to help as needed. The students may be a bit shy at first, but they will warm up the more interactive you are with them.
Materials/Set-up: Every classroom has a computer with a projector and audio for you to share any presentation you might have. If there's anything else you need, please let me know as soon as possible. If you need any copies made for your presentation, please email them to me beforehand so we can have them ready for you when you arrive.
During your time, please consider the following outline for guidance:
- Introduce yourself & speak to your degree (if applicable)
- Ask them what they know about your area of art
- Explain your area of art
- Do an interactive activity with the students
- Q & A session
Contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We look forward to making art with you!
