Welcome to Spanish Class
Spanish I is a high school credit course for students. Students will communicate in the target language through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. This course will be a combination of recorded video instruction, conversation practice with other students, and homework assignments given and evaluated through the Studio Solutions online platform and classroom work. In these assignments students will practice listening recognition, vocabulary understanding, context comprehension, and grammar usage.
After completing this course, students will be prepared with the very basic skills of speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish in order to communicate with native speakers. Students will learn basic grammar principles, vocabulary, culture of Spanish Speaking countries through videos and conversations.
The primary course facilitator will be Mrs. Flood. She is a native Spanish speaker born and raised in Venezuela, and has been a teacher for twelve years in Columbus City Schools. Learners of this course will learn from interactive exercises based on real content through social media and online video as well as classroom work and hands on activities.
