The staff at Indian Springs Elementary School strives to help each child reach his/her fullest potential. Our goal is to create a positive, child-centered learning environment while respecting the uniqueness of each individual and providing equitable opportunity for all children. We strive to foster individual responsibility and a love of lifelong learning while guiding students to successfully achieve state standards. We view parents and community as essential partners in each student’s educational success.
Curriculum
All areas of the curriculum are aligned to the Ohio Standards. The staff at Indian Springs strives to provide instruction geared to each child’s level. We focus on academic achievement while instilling the joy of learning in our students. Our program provides intervention and enrichment specialists to support differentiated learning, as well as Gifted Math and Reading instruction in grades 3-5, for qualifying students. Enrichment activities for students are offered through clubs, district competitions and in-school extension activities.
About Our Staff
All of our teachers are Highly Qualified under the requirements of No Child Left Behind. We have staff members who are also National Board Certified Teachers.
Parent Involvement
We are proud to have a visible parent community and have many opportunities for our families to take part in school events. Our school benefits from a very active Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which supports the goals of the school. Our PTA provides support in a number of ways, including technology support, classroom supplies, recess equipment, author visits, Read-a-Thon, JA Biz Town, Literacy Night, STEM Night, Arts Night, Field Day, and an educational 3-day camping experience for 5th graders. The PTA coordinates many activities throughout the school year, which include: Ice Cream Social, Pancake Breakfast & Craft Bazaar, Spaghetti Dinner, two Movie Nights and Skating Nights per year, Apple Week and our big end-of-year carnival event, Falcon Fest.
