Dear Parents and Guardians,

As part of our ongoing efforts to support student learning and minimize distractions in the classroom, we kindly ask that all students bring a pair of wired headphones to school. These headphones may be earbud or over-the-ear style, but must be able to plug directly into a Chromebook.

Bluetooth or wireless headphones will not be permitted.

This guideline aligns with Ohio’s new statewide policy banning cell phones in schools, which aims to create a more focused and distraction-free learning environment. By requiring wired headphones, we eliminate the uncertainty of what devices students may be connected to, allowing for a more secure and accountable use of technology in the classroom.

Wired headphones will be used during instructional activities involving programs such as i-Ready and Study Sync, which often include audio components that enhance and support student learning.
