• Travelers' Rest Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship

    The Travelers' Rest MLK committee administers a scholarship program that will award a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student, regardless of race or ethnicity. 

    To be eligible, you must be a senior with a minimum 2.5 GPA who plans to attend college starting in August 2025.

  • Kenneth L. Howard Endowed Scholarship

    The Kenneth L. Howard Endowed Scholarship Fund targets assisting area African American male high school students who are U.S. residents in need of financial assistance for college. 

    We accept applications from all students with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and higher. Generally, KLHSF applicants exhibit great potential and character. KLHSF applicants are usually involved in the community at large and partake in extracurricular school activities.

    The Kenneth L. Howard Endowed Scholarship Fund, in conjunction with the Columbus Kappa Foundation, will offer partial scholarships to area students. The amount of the partial scholarship generally ranges between $1,000 - $1,500. During the 2023-2024 school year, ten scholars were awarded partial scholarships.
