Blended Learning First Week Update - January 29, 2021
January 29, 2021 -- CCS Families Preparing for Blended Learning,
Columbus City Schools has made an update to the learning model schedule for next week. Friday, February 5, will be an asynchronous remote learning day for all students in grades Pre-K-5, Career and Technical Education students, and students with complex needs in grades Pre-K-12.
CCS teachers and staff will start receiving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine next week. By changing the learning model for this day, it will allow more availability for teachers and staff to receive the vaccine next week.
As a reminder, there will be no classes for students on Wednesday, February 3, due to a Staff Professional Development Day.
Next week, students in Cohort A will attend in-person on Monday and Tuesday, February 1-2. Students in Cohort B will attend in-person on Thursday, February 4. This applies to:
- Students in grades Pre-K - 3
- Students identified with complex needs Pre K - 12
- Students in Career Technical Education programs at Fort Hayes Career Center and Columbus Downtown High School.
Students in grades 4 and 5 will join these groups in blended learning starting on February 8.
