News for Parents/Guardians of Gifted-Identified Students 

If your child is in grades 1-8 and receives gifted services in CCS, the 2024-2025 Written Education Plan developed by your child's gifted specialist has been forwarded to you via the primary contact email in the Parent Portal in Infinite Campus. 

This email will include a link to the document. If you do not receive it, please check your Spam folder.

You will be granted "Can View & Sign" access to the WEP when you open the document. Be sure to hit the submit button after signing.

Written Education Plans are required by the state of Ohio and serve as a communication tool between gifted specialists, classroom teachers, and parents about the type of gifted service your child is receiving. The WEP includes a description of gifted services, which may include specialized classes, cluster grouping, or pull-out services based on the student’s area(s) of identification and specific academic and/or affective goals.

Gifted Testing Referral Links 

Winter 2024 - 2025

ONLINE REFERRAL FORMS FOR ACADEMIC GIFTED ASSESSMENT IS NOW OPEN

• The online link to refer a student for gifted identification testing reopened on November 4th, and will close on Friday, March 21st. Click here to complete and submit a referral. 
• The online referral link to refer a student for subject or grade acceleration for the second semester is now closed. The link to refer students for subject or grade acceleration for the 2025-2026 school year will open on January 15th.
• The online link for referral for Early Entrance to Kindergarten (or First Grade) for the second semester is now closed. For early entrance FAQs, click here.
• The Visual & Performance Arts referral form for gifted identification is available here. The referral window will close on Jan. 17th. Spring auditions are planned for March 29th.

Note: Please consider that students in grades 2-8 have multiple assessment opportunities for identification in reading and math through the i-Ready district wide assessment, so additional alternative testing may not be necessary in grades two and five.
